» Do I have to be a Webmaster to use CustomCast?
No. You don't have to be an expert web designer to use CustomCast. CustomCast gives you choice of how complicated it can be. It can be as simple as selecting a template, entering your text and hitting launch.

» My account has been deactivated, what do I do?
Your account may be deactivated for two reasons.
1. You were using CustomCast on a one monthly free trial basis and you have not purchased a serial key.
2. You failed to pay for your subscribed amount in the allotted time frame.

» I lost my UserName and Password, how do I retrieve it?
You can reset your password HERE but you must know your username and email address in advance to resetting.

» How can I limit the number of emails I see in reports?
You can limit the number of emails you see in your email list, unsubscribe list and campaign details in the "My Preferences" section of your Settings Page

Custom Fields
» How many custom fields are we allowed to add?
You can add as many custom fields as you need. However, CustomCast attempts to show you all the fields and data for those fields in your email list. If you have a large number of fields the page may be wider than your monitor and you will have to scroll over to view all of your data.

» Can we delete a field later?
Yes. Fields can be deleted at any time. Please note that when you delete a field you will also be deleting ALL the data that is associated with that field and this action can not be undone.

Email Filters
» What do the Email Filters do?
Email filters are an easy way to split up your list into categories. For example, if you have a custom field, "Occupation", and you create a email filter where occupation "EQAULS" "Doctor" then you would be able to send emails to only the people on your list that have the occupation "Doctor". This allows your email list to reside together with the ability to separate individuals as needed.

» How can I be sure which emails are trapped by this filter?
On your Email Filters Page, next to your filters is a link to "view matching." Clicking that link will display all the emails that meet the criteria of that filter.

Email Lists
» How do I add a Email List?
You can add to your email list in two different ways.
You can add single emails (one at a time) by entering the information manually at the top of your Email View Page. You can also Import an Email List from your pre made Excel or CSV email list. For more information about CSV files read here.

» What is a CSV File?
A Comma separated values (CSV) file is a computer data file used for implementing the tried and true organizational tool, the Comma Separated List. The CSV file is used for the digital storage of data structured in a table of lists form, where each associated item (member) in a group is in association with others also separated by the commas of its set. Each line in the CSV file corresponds to a row in the table. Within a line, fields are separated by commas, each field belonging to one table column.

Creating a Campaign
» How long will it take before my email is sent?
CustomCast uses in-house servers to monitor activities associated with mailing emails. The servers are set to check for scheduled campaigns every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. Once our servers see that you have a campaign that needs to be sent it prepares your email list and adds your campaign to the message queue. From there, all messages in the queue will go out in order. Depending on how many campaigns are in the queue, your messages could go out in as little as 1 minute to as much as 30 minutes.

» How do I only send to certain people on my list?
You can send to certain people on your list by using Email Filters.

Email Templates
» Can I edit the existing Email Templates?
Yes. When you select a templates to use from our available list it will appear in the "Message Body" of your new campaign. From there you can do whatever you need to make your campaign work for you.

» Can I use my own Email Templates?
Yes. You can create templates in Word, Dreamweaver, HTML, and more. Select all that you've done and paste it into the "Message Body" of your blank campaign. Remember, if your template has images in it, you'll need to upload those images into your template for them to appear in your message.

» How do I upload my own images for use in a Template?
You can upload your own images by hitting the icon in the message body designer. This will pop up a screen and you can hit the (Browse Icon) to select from your existing uploaded images or hit the "Browse" button to search your computer for the image you'd like to upload to our server.

Campaign Results
» What is a bounced email?
A bounced email is an email that didn't quite make it to the recipient for one reason or another. There are "Soft" bounces, which bounce back because the recipient has an "Out of the Office" reply up, or their email box is full. There are also "Hard" bounces, which bounce back because the email does not exist.

» Can I export my results for each email campaign?
You can not currently export results from campaigns. You will be able to in the near future.

Misc. Questions
» Will my Email be flagged as spam?
Hopefully not. CustomCast has implemented several automated safeguards in an attempt and keep your emails from being flagged as spam. Please read our Anti-Spam Policy for more information.

» What happens if they reply to the CustomCast Email?
That's a good thing. You want to be able to engage your customers and interact with them. Soon CustomCast will offer a survey tool so that you can get valuable data about your customers.
